The Pre-Planning Trend

The trend today is to have everything planned...
                                                              before it's needed.

Why pre-plan at all?

This question is answered in our Q & A section.

Many Nursing Homes will require the family to make arrangements in advance. If a patient's assets are depleted by a lengthy stay, the funeral and burial are already paid for and survivors are not burdened by yet another financial obligation. Monies are deposited in an irrevocable burial trust for that individual. This removes those assets from the estate, and assures that no one has access to these monies. It is only paid out upon proof of death and only to the funeral home that provides the services.

Taking advantage of this way of purchasing one's funeral, removes the burden from those who would need to otherwise. If you were ever forced into having to make arrangements at need, you can better understand the relief this foresight provides.
