Brian L. Kauffman, 59 of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at home. He was born July 8, 1960 in Waynesboro, the son of Betty (Glen) and the late Kenneth E. Kauffman Sr. Brian was a member of the Open Door Church and a former member of the National Rifle Association. He drove tractor trailers for NASCAR, Valley Quarries and Franklin Feed. He loved traveling, seeing the country and visited all the states, except for two. Brian also worked for JLG and later for Walmart. He enjoyed his job at Walmart where he could interact with people. He was a happy go lucky individual who loved to talk and tease, not only with adults but with kids. Brian loved people and would help wherever he could. He was appreciative when he could make them laugh. He had a good sense of humor and silliness that drew people to him. Brian also enjoyed hunting and spending time in the out-of-doors.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife Tena (Miller) Kauffman; two sons, Brandon and Vernon (husband of Denise), two daughters, Kristin Kauffman and Stacy (wife of Travis). Nine grandchildren, a sister, Linda (wife of Sam) Miller and a brother, Kenneth (husband of Mary Ann) Kauffman Jr., his mother-in-law, Christina Garvin and brother-in-law, Robert (husband of Teresa) Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Brian was preceded in death by his daughter, Brianna.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Salem Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Cook officiating. Memorial Donations may be made in memory of Brian at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/
