Terry and girls - my heart is broken. Not just for me but for you as well. I can't hardly put into words the loss I feel and I can't imagine what you feel. Diane was our rock, our strength, our tell it like it is girl whether you wanted to hear it or not. :) My love for her grows so deep. You all know her Sistahs tried to will her to good health again. There wasn't anything that we didn't try I don't think - from calling drs and telling them off to taking food - whatever she needed or wanted. There is going to be a void in our group that will never be refilled by anyone else. I started an email to her yesterday before I realized and then I was worthless the rest of the day. Girls I hope your momma taught you as much as she taught me. The type of person she was. I have never in my 56 years met anyone like her and I don't ever want to again. She was my Diane. My words of wisdom. My confidant. My strength. I loved her so so much. I remember our last visit. She was so tired. I laid down in bed with her and we took a nap together. We talked about heaven. Who all she would see there. She said she was excited but scared. I quoted one of my favorite scriptures to her 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 vs. 16 and 17. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
She smiled and I thought she fell back to sleep - but about 5 minutes later she said - How will we catch him? I said catch who? She said the Lord? He will be really fast - how will we catch him? I smiled at her and said silly he will catch you. I feel like my insides are dying. This hurts so much and I know you know that. But I also know that we will be here for you - all of you. We were and are sisters of the heart. Your mom was my hero. I adored her like no other. The love she had for Terry was amazing. And he her. I will be praying - always praying for peace in your hearts. God loves you and so do we. I am certain your mom is up there seeing her dad, keeping an eye on us, playing with my little dog Mikey (coz she said she would). We will see her again. I am sure she is making her presence known. Her character, sense of humor and personality touched us all and will not only live in all of you but us as well. It was one of my greatest honors being her friend and sister. I will always love her.

Terry, David, Emily, and Kaitlyn. I am so very sorry to hear the news of Diane's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families as you navigate through these tough days without her. She was an awesome person to know and spend time with. Keep her friendliness and kindness alive through all of you. Again prayers for all of you! Was blessed many times over by the friendship Diane gave and beach trips we were on together. Remember and cherish the times you had together. Love and prayers!
