Obituary

It is with great sadness our family must announce the passing of John Andrew Fedele of Chambersburg, Pa. John departed this world; "for heaven, and was welcomed into the Kingdom of God" on Monday December 16, 2019.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6 King James Version (KJV)

John was 82 and born in Brooklyn, New York January 3rd. 1937 where he lived with his parents Cosimo and Jenny Fedele ( Morano) 12 siblings until the family moved to Ronkonkoma, New York.
John then married his wife and sweetheart Elizabeth Ann (Reilly) on Valentines day February 14th. 1960.
They settled in Holbrook, on Long Island N.Y. where they started and raised a family of four children. 17 years later they moved to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania where John and his wife Elizabeth opened a restaurant called the Manna House on Louden Avenue.
John, was a dedicated husband, loving father, grandfather, and family man. He was well known for his kindness, sense of humor and willingness to always serve and help others.
John was respected and loved dearly by many within the community of Chambersburg, Pa. and back home in Brooklyn and all across Long Island where he has so much family.
As a dear family relative expressed yesterday; "Sorry Uncle Johnny had to go.
Sad days...
We have good memories and lots of corny jokes to remember him with. (Woody will live on forever)
Please know that Fedele's here are thinking about the Fedele's there.
I loved him dearly and am glad I got to spend time with him in my lifetime.
(Some of the best times we had were at funerals. )

I was sad to learn of this terrible loss to the family. I knew my phone mail and photographs through my then, husband , John Andrew Fedele Jr. I did hope to meet you all one day but I saw you in photographs and knew you were good people, my in-laws. I know what it's like to loss a father and a husband through my sister's loss of her husband. You were married and best friends to your husband, Mrs. John Fedele. There were so many years between you two. My deepest sympathies to all who loved him. Sincerely, Beth Ann Petry (formerly a Fedele) from the Black Hills of South Dakota.
