Obituary

Melanie Sue “Mel” Arrowood, 36 passed away at home on Sunday, March 17, 2019 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born September 15, 1982 in Chambersburg, the daughter of James C. and Frances J. (Neil) Arrowood. She was a 2001 graduate of CASHS and worked as a Bus Aid for Bricker Transportation. Mel was a member of the Franklin County Emergency Air Unit Co. 10, Mont Alto Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary Co. 5 and American Legion Post #606 in Ft. Loudon. She enjoyed working as an aid on the bus with the special needs students from the Franklin County Learning Center and most especially, she loved to spend time with family, friends and her loved ones. In addition to her parents, she is survived by children: Anastasia Etter, Erica and Charles Ocker; siblings: Jeff Arrowood (Crystal Taylor) , Missy Hann (Stephen), sister in law, Heather Arrowood; Fiancée, Lewis Welsh and three nieces and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Arrowood.

A memorial service will be held at 7pm, on April 12, 2019, at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202, with Rev. Robert Culler, officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior (if you wish). Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to:
