    Alen Jay Price

    August 23, 1961 - February 16, 2018

    Alen Jay Price, 56, of Chambersburg passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born August 23, 1961 in Huntingdon, PA, the son of the late James W. and Alice (Meyers) Price. As a child, he grew up in the Pentecostal Church of God in Mt Union, PA. Jay graduated from Mt. Union Area High School majoring in Business, received his Certification for High Pressure Steam and Water Welding at Class C-1 Weld School, then went on to further his education at San Diego State University. He spent several years (1997-2017) as a maintenance mechanic, manager and supervisor his last one being at Industrial Maintenance and Repair Service in Chambersburg. Jay was proud of the time he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Cape Cod. He was a member of the American Legion Post #606 and the American Legion Riders. Working at Phantom Shadow, he took pride and enjoyment when providing karaoke, DJ’ing and driving Limo’s. He enjoyed: four wheeling, hunting, camping, riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR races, especially Jeff Gordon and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mostly, he loved spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Price (McNew), with whom he spent 19 years together and married on December 31, 2013; two sons: Cory Price and James Price (Susan); three stepchildren: Jerry Goss Jr. (Dez), Sean Cordell, Heather Martz; three grandchildren: Sebastian, Madison and Peyton Price; two brothers: Bud Price (Nancy), Jim Price (Virginia); four sisters: Gerri Neuman, Pam Norris (Gene), Mary Hammond (Clyde) and Deb Bricker (Gene). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin brothers: Ronald and Donald; sister, Joanne Anders, brother, Howard and brother-in-law, John Neuman. The funeral service will be held 9am on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the William F. Sellers Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Barrett officiating. The visitation will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Indiantown Gap. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Patriot Federal Credit Union, C/O Cory Price, 800 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg PA 17201.
