Christine Virginia Toliver "Chris", 81, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Chris was born on June 30, 1934 in Chambersburg to the late Charles Leroy Carter, Sr. and Emma Nora Ransom Carter. Chris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Christine worked for Leonard Electrical Radio and Machine Workers, New York, NY. She was a domestic workers for many years; most recently working for The Griffith House, Chambersburg, PA. Cissy (as her family affectionately called her) enjoyed staying active and being with her family and friends. She was a member of St. James AME Church, Chambersburg. She served on the Usher Board and the Stewardess Board. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Isaiah “John” Toliver; her daughter, Kimbline C. Howard (Gary); her daughter, Sharon Toliver (David); her granddaughters Dakiah A. Toliver and Alycia J. Howard; her siblings Johann Grissom, Charles Carter, Roger Carter, Barry Carter, Jeffrey Carter and numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Stephen. Funeral services to remember Christine's life will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 27, 2015, at William F. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg.
