    Diane B. Hill

    June 15, 1951 - February 12, 2013

    Diane B. Hill, 61, of Chambersburg, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born June 16, 1951 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Eugene and Virginia Ruth (Westbrook-Colston) Hill. She attended ST. James AME. Diane graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1969, moved to California in the 1970’s where she went to college and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceuticals. She moved back to town and worked at Women In Need and “Big Mama’s as a bartender; she also tended bar at the Elk’s Lodge on South Street. Diane enjoyed music and to crochet, and her favorite show was “MASH”, but dancing and spending time with her loved ones was what she treasured most. She was an entertainer and loved to amuse her friends. She also loved to cook and is renowned in this area for her fried chicken, collard greens and the famous “Hot Water Cornbread”. She also had a special place in heart for dogs. She is survived by her two daughters: Virginia and Tanya Mosima-Hill; three grandchildren: Tayvaughn, Pa’Shun and Trestin Mosima-Hill; a nephew, Chavez Beltran; two sisters: Tanya Hill and Naomi Martinez (CA); two brothers: Thomas and Greg Stoner; a very close family friend, Sandra Brown; a cousin, Sylvia Stills and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her common-law husband, Terrance Elliot; six brothers: Cody and Colston Westbrook, Arthur, Bennett and Carlos Stoner and James Colston and a sister, Kathy Stoner. There will be a memorial service held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the William F. Sellers Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bayer, Jr. officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
