Erma Mae Clark

Erma Mae (Ramsey) Clark, 101, of Chambersburg peacefully went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2016. Born February 10, 1915 in Dry Run, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Ramsey. Erma was a 1933 graduate of Fannett-Metal High School. On November 17, 1945 she married Champ DeWitt Clark. Erma and Champ lived most of their lives in the village of Edenville where they owned and operated Clark’s grocery store. Erma was a lifelong member of the Edenville United Methodist Church. Erma enjoyed drawing, making crafts, watching ice skating and spending time with family and friends. Erma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Champ, a son Robert Clark, a daughter Dolores Brookens and son-in-law John Orsa Jr. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Rebecca Orsa, Patricia Friese and her husband Gary and Michael Clark, Barrett Clark and wife Marye and daughter-in-law Colleen Clark. Erma is also survived by her grandchildren Elaine Clark and husband Tim, Ellen Clark, Mark Clark and wife Wendy, Andrew Clark and wife Holly, Champ Clark and wife Pam, David Clark and wife Loretta, Richard Clark, Marlana Briggs and husband John, Anthony Orsa, Dirk Shaffer, Darren Shaffer, Erin Miller and husband David and Stephanie Hickson and husband Tim. Erma also had many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren that she enjoyed dearly. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Erma’s life on Sunday, April 24th at the Edenville Community Center at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
