    Ms. Joan Rebecca Robinson Davis

    February 26, 1941 - January 26, 2022

    Joan Rebecca Robinson Davis passed away of natural causes in a peaceful slumber at Claremont Nursing Home, Carlisle, on Tuesday January 25, 2022, with her daughter at her side. Joan was 80 years old when she departed this world to be with the Lord. She was born on February 26, 1941 in Chambersburg to Howard Houston Robinson and Rebecca Evelyn Banks. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Jason S. Davis; her brother, Leon R. Robinson; and nephew Sylvester Brian Ford. Joan is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Reichenbach (husband Edward, of Carlisle, and their three children, Maya, Seth, and Jules). Other survivors include her brother, Sergeant Sylvester Robinson, sister-in law (Mary Ford); brother Warrant Officer Ferguson Robinson (wife Judy); nephew Tyrone Robinson; nephew Trevor Robinson; nephew Staff Sergeant Anthony Robinson; nephew Reverend André Robinson (wife Crystal); Nephew Aaron Robinson (wife Anna); Niece Pamela Robinson and numerous other relatives and loved ones on both the East and West coast. Joan graduated from the Chambersburg High School in 1962. She then attended the Chambersburg District Practical Nursing school. Joan had a significant impact on everyone she encountered. She was an avid animal lover, a Civil Rights activist, a humanitarian, and a scholarly lover of the written word. The family will receive at William F. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, on Monday, January 31, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at her church, Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, on Tuesday, February 1, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Corpus Christi Catholic Cemetery, Chambersburg. Those wishing to honor her life can make donations in Mrs. Davis’s name to the NAACP, 4805 Mt.
