Mr. John Edward Beaston, Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. John Edward Beaton, Sr., 66, of Chambersburg, died Monday morning, June 27, 2022, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. H. Irene Burkett Beaston, his wife of 47 years. Born July 2, 1955, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Gordon Dale and Mary Catherine Stoner Beaston. John owned and operated John’s Concrete and Roofing for a number of years in the Chambersburg area. He was an avid sportsman enjoying all types. Not only did John enjoy hunting deer and squirrels, but watching baseball and collecting memorabilia. He held a special fondness for the Boston Red Sox. Besides his wife, John is survived by his sister, Mary Beaston Shaffer and husband Ralph of Chambersburg; sister-in-law Kathy Beaston of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, specifically nieces Lauren Beaston and Julie Watkins. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son John Edward, Jr., in July, 2010; and his brother, Roger Beaston. Sellers Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
