    John E. Leonard Jr.

    February 5, 1934 - March 29, 2016

    John E. Leonard, Junior. 82, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born February 5, 1934 in Chambersburg, Pa, the son of the late John E. and Mary Jane (Mitchell) Leonard, Sr. He was a graduate of Chambersburg High School in 1952 and went directly to work for Landis machine company in Waynesboro. He worked his way up through the ranks until in 1967 he became the Engineering Project Manager for Advanced Design, a supervisory position he held until retirement. He married his wife Shirley (Martin) in 1958 and they were married for 58 years. John was a member of the Franklin County Gun Club in Chambersburg and the Eagles Club, Inc. in Waynesboro. He will be remembered for his quick stories, humor and friendliness. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann (Martin) Leonard; two sisters: Jane Glunt and Martha Bingham of Chambersburg along with several nieces and nephews.
