Mr. John David Parmer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. John David Parmer, 70, of Chambersburg, died Wednesday night, May 11, 2022, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Victoria Jean “Vicky” Cluck Parmer, his wife of 53 years. Born January 1, 1952, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late John Daniel and Frances Ruth Blubaugh Parmer. He graduated in 1969 from Chambersburg Area Senior High School. John worked his career with Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc., Chambersburg. He was a member of Cumberland Valley Antique Engine & Machinery Association, and St. Thomas Sportsmen’s Association. Surviving, besides his wife, are his children, Timothy Eugene and Michael James Parmer, and Amanda Jo Parmer; all of Chambersburg; his grandchildren Tanner, McKennah, Miley, Bryce and Ava; and his sister, Mary Hubble of West Virginia. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, John David Parmer, II, in October 1995; and his brother, Robert Parmer, in February of this year. The William F. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg, is assisting the family with arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. A private gathering will be held later at the family’s convenience.
