She was born June 30, 1950, in Chambersburg, and was the daughter of Helen Starliper Gontz and the late Delbert Harper Gontz. Linda was a dear mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. She was also the owner/candymaker of Kuhn's Kandies, Scotland. She was a 1968 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. Linda lovingly served as a Brownie Girl Scout Leader for ten years. She was also active in other areas of the community, serving for years at her local polling place. Linda served on the Congregation Council at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chambersburg and was a member of the church choir for many years. She also liked to watch the blue birds build in the yard and feed them as they produced young fledglings. Ocean City, MD was her place of relaxation and visited yearly with her family. Those who will greatly miss her are her husband of 51 years, Richard (Dick) Kuhn, daughter, Veronica L. Aliferis (Andrew),Scotland, son Daryll R. Kuhn (Adrienne), Carlisle, PA area, and Rebekah A. Shaw, Jacobus, York county; six grandchildren, Athenae, Nicholas, Mazie, Maddie, Elizabeth, and Charlotte. Also surviving are her mother, Helen, three brothers, Delbert L. Gontz (Ruby), Garry L. Gontz (Vickie), of Chambersburg, and Gregory D. Gontz (Denise) of South Pasadena, CA, plus numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry L. Gontz. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2695 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor Christopher Frye will officiate. The interment will be private immediately following the service. The family will receive friend 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
