Mabel M. Rotz, 89 of Chbg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wed. Mar. 25, 2015 at the Chbg. Hosp. She was born Feb. 12, 1926 in Chbg, daughter of the late Ira L. and Hazel M. (Martin) Shaffer. A 1943 graduate of C.H.S., she later worked as a presser at the Stanley Co. From childhood on, she was a caregiver to many neighbors and friends. No caregiver was ever more loved, and cherished. Surviving are 2 sons: Dennis L. Rotz (Linda), Jay L. Rotz (Tammy); 8 grandchildren: Steven (Chrystal) Rotz, Brett (Rhonda) Rotz, Melissa (William) Banks, John Rotz, Robert (LeAnna) Rotz, Tasha Pruden, Kavan and Tristan Howell; 7 great grandchildren; Austin, Lakin, Zachary, Jesse, Kyra Rotz, Ivy Hollinshead, Gabrielle Banks; 1 step great great grandchild; Krystal (Scott) Jackson; 2 step great great great grandchildren: Sophie and Ryan Jackson; a brother, Ray M. Shaffer (Beverly); many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Rotz and a son, Leslie B. Rotz. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Mon., Mar. 30, 2015, at the Salem Lutheran Cem. with the Revs. Mike Sanders and Carl McKee officiating.
