Chambg. - Melvin E. "Bucket" Keltner, 89, died 1:45 p.m. Monday June 10, 2013 at home. Born July 4, 1923 in Chambersburg. he was the son of the late James McFerren and Genevive Cramer Keltner Sr. He was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church where he was on the property committee. He was also a veteran of WWII in the US Navy. Bucket was a member of Post #46 American Legion, Marine Corps League, Chambg. Club, 60 year member of Geo. Washington Lodge #143 F & AM, Tall Cedars, Chambg. Toy Mission, and was a life member of Post #1599 VFW. He was the original owner of the Garden Corner in Fayetteville, owned a Feed Mill in Marion, worked at SSVC and was employed as warehouse manager for Seagrams Whiskey in Williamson. His wife Jean E. "Beanie" Keltner died Sept. 14, 2008. Surviving are his daughter, Teena (Mrs. Frank) Buselli, Chambg; 3-grandchildren, Dominic, Nicholas, and Kristeena Buselli; 4-great-grandchildren; sister, Rhuemma Taylor, FL.; sister-in-law Judy Etter; nephew Brad Etter (Laurie); 2 great-nephews; niece Stephanie Wilkes (Stan) and 2 great nieces. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by sisters: Francis Sicknick, Rachael Rothenberg, Virginia Marsh and brothers: Kenneth, James, Jack, and Carl "Nick." Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at the First Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven Dorsett officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening in the William F. Sellers F.H. with a Masonic Service at 7:30. Visitation one hour prior to the service on Friday will be in the Church Parlor. Members of the Charles Nitterhouse Post #1599 Honor Guard will conduct graveside military honors. Memorials may be made to the 1st Lutheran Church, 43 W. Washington St., or to Lutheran Home Care or Hospice, 2700 Luther Dr. Chambg.
