Michael E. Hurley

November 11, 1947 - July 4, 2018

Michael E. Hurley, 70, of Chambersburg passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, July 4, 2018 at the Falling Spring Nursing Home. The son of the late Edward Anthony and Anna Louise (West) Hurley, he was born in Washington, D.C. on November 11, 1947. Michael was a faithful member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. For the last 18 years, he worked at Naomi’s Bakery in Jim’s Farmers Market where he made many friends. He also enjoyed his friends at the Salvation Army, Coyle Free Library and many Downtown Chambersburg Businesses. Surviving are: his sister, Rosemary Theresa Davis and brother Joseph Thomas Hurley, both of Florida and brother Patrick Michael Hurley of Western Maryland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Timothy Paul Hurley and Robert Charles Hurley. A Memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Sellers Funeral Home. Fr. Luis Rodriguez, Pastor of Corpus Christi Church and Major Leslie Walters of the Salvation Army will officiate.
