Mr. Mitchell "Willy James" Greene Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mitchell Willie James Greene, 68, of Chambersburg, passed Sunday, March 13, 2022, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 28,1953, in Gainesville, Florida, he was the son of the late Callie Lee Greene. Mitchell was a very Loving, Kind and Caring Man. He worked his fingers to the bones over the years working from city to city farming and harvesting watermelons. He moved to Chambersburg in 2015. When he retired, he gave his life to Christ and joined Unity In Christ Church, Chambersburg. There he became custodian, a missionary and a sung with Men Of Valley Choir. He leaves behind to cherish in his memory his son Jayvon Green (LaDarria) of Valdosta, Georgia; 2 sisters Beverly Wilkerson of Alachua, Florida, and Marie Johnson (Raymond) of Chambersburg; 4 grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special niece LaAngel Filmore and nephew, Ryze, that he held deeply in his heart. Besides his mother, Mitchell was preceded death by 3 brothers Robert J., Samuel L., and Lloyd Allen Green Sr.; and 1 sister Corine E. Welch. The William F. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg, assisted the family with arrangements. There will not be visiting for family and friends at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held,Tuesday, March 29, 1pm, at Unity In Christ Church, 4301 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, with a re pass following at Chambersburg Recreation Center, 335 South 3rd Street, Chambersburg.
