Nancy H Dickson (Howard) Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nancy H. Dickson, 84, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Chambersburg Hospital after a brief illness. She was born June 27, 1932 in Weatherford,TX, the daughter of the late Willie J. and Lola (West) Howard. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She retired from Dickson's Photography (1970-1989) in Chambersburg where she helped her husband, Francis W. Dickson. He was originally from Wyoming PA and that is where they resided before moving to Chambersburg. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends and was an avid movie enthusiast. She loved to sing and in her younger days, she sang with her two sisters, one time on a live radio show. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Arlene Cummings of Chambersburg; sisters, Marjorie Ernestine Cude, Geneva Gerldeen Wilks both of Weatherford, TX, Loretta Leeds of AL; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Frank" W. Dickson, whom she married June 21, 1953; son, Francis W. Dickson Jr. in 1959 and a brother, Thurmon Russell Howard. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 in Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Fr. Luis Rodriguez officiating. There will be a visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017, and from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the William F. Sellers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery.
