Olive V. Myers, 96, of Pleasant Hall, PA passed away on Mon., June 8, 2015 in Stephens City, VA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John N. Myers with whom she shared a special and loving bond with for 50+ years, a son Neil R. Myers, and 12 siblings. She was born in New Franklin, PA and was the daughter of the late William C. and Katherine (Stoner) Helmuth. She enjoyed her 15 years at Shirtcraft Industries in Shippensburg and the 30+ years she raised her family and babysitting numerous children in her home. In addition to her love of children she enjoyed baking, sewing, writing letters to friends and family, reading, playing the organ and piano, and watching her beloved John Wayne movies. She lived in SC for 10+ years with her daughter Renee and family and the last 6 months with her son Duane and family in VA. The time she spent with all her family was precious to her. She is survived by three children; Duane T. (Sue) Myers of Stephen City, VA, Bonnie M. (Dickie) Bender of Pleasant Hall, PA and Renee Root (Craig Foosaner) of SC, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a long time member of King Street Church, Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends and family on Fri. June 12, 2015 from 6-8 at Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. A Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Sat. June 13, 2015 at Sellers Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Baker officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hall Cemetery.
