Robert C. "Bobby" Booth
October 24, 1944 - December 7, 2016
Robert C. Booth passed away Wed. December 7th, 2016. Robert, better known to his friends as “Bob”, began studying music at a very young age. Bob began his love for music playing the accordion. He later picked up and taught himself to play the guitar and the rest you can say is history. Bob began playing in bands at a very young age he and his friends/bandmates were known to play many venues up and down the east coast. Bob later developed a love for woodworking and spent several years working in a wood shop where he learned to not only repair guitars but to build them himself. Many of Bob’s friends and acquaintances met Bob while he was helping them repair some sort of instrument from organs, drums, harp’s to of course guitars. Bob was also an avid photographer and could be found taking pictures at his friend’s parties and/or weddings. Bob enjoyed fishing, target shooting and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Bob moved to Chambersburg in 1994 with his wife Ida who retired from Ingram Book. While living in Chambersburg Bob played in several bands and could be found watching live music (another passion he had). Bob touched the hearts of many people in Chambersburg and will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday December 17th, at 2:00, for further information please call (717) 961-1820. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Robert C.
